Alright now that the compo is over its about time I shuffle the sketch versions off to the dump and present the completed version of my entry along with his backstory blurb. I am very please with how this turned out.
"Civerius the snake god: One of the lesser know gods, he has been given the task of guarding the 'Infinity Basket'. This basket holds items that...
1. Appear not in only in our world but in fictional worlds as well
2. Are self-regenerating, in other words they are infinite!
Some of the items included in this well guarded basket are: The infinite ammo cheat code, the Inkfinity stone, the bottomless bag of peanuts, the infinite improbability drive and the infinite coin box. In order to defend the Infinity Basket Civerius can use any item found in the basket making him a formidable opponent and great at parties when the chip bowl runs low."
-Results-
The judging has completed and the results are in. This drawing got me a solid 4th place ranking in the May 2k7 VCL art compo. Not only that the famed Dark Ferret gave me quite the complement about it (check it out here: [link]). Even if I didnt win Im very pleased with it.
-For fun and a prize!-
I may not have won the compo (4th place isnt that bad ^^) but that doesnt mean Im not in a celebratory mood. So guess what Im offering up a free sketch to anyone who can identify the pop culture references in Civeriuss bio. Rules
Now this is for all the marbles you need to identify ALL of the references, not just one ALL! Here are the pop culture references:
Infinite ammo cheat code, Inkfinity stone, Bottomless bag of peanuts, Infinite improbability drive, Infinite coin box
Okay, now he looks even more like the robin hood snake! Didn't he get shoved inside of that basket? The coloring is awesome though congrats on a well-deserved 4th place!
Thanks Sar, the colouring was the easy part (shading was also somewhat easy) it was cleaning the line art that was a pain ^^

Thanks for the comment Yatenstar, 4th place is pretty damn good in my books.

Thanks Fraleth, glad you like it. Colour seems to bring out the best in any drawing (it worked wonders with yours, so how about showing them again ^^)
Yep, I use the PC and a mouse for colouring but all line art is done in good old-fashioned pencil (until I can get a tablet)
Thanks again good friend Fralth.

Well it's apparant that I can think Three-Dimensionally, which means I can make models and stuff.
Alot more eaiser than I can than draw.
Drawing is the first step...but making a 3D model is onemore step above that.

It is that step I can do with great ease.
